Some time ago, there was a collection of threads on here about "realistic depictions of public nudity" in movies, TV, and books; it got me thinking, because even most of those, the nudity was included for shock or titillation value. There was very little in that list where nudity was featured as a simple "normal" state of being. What I'd love to see, would be a movie set (at least partially) on or around a nude beach or nudist area, where for large parts of the movie, people are casually naked. Not people naked just for sex or showering, not someone wandering naked down the street, drawing stares and possibly the police. Just plain, ordinary movie events, but everyone is naked. If you want to discuss the philosophy an appeal of Naturism a bit, it could be, for example, a crime drama, where the murder happened in a nudist area, so the investigators make many visits to the area, and as such are exposed to that kind of environment. I think it would be a refreshing change from how nudity in film is typically used. Any opinions?
